Aims and Scope

Government & Resilience (G&R) aims to offer an international academic platform for the contemporary issues of government studies (Novel Governance & Public Policy), organizational ecosystem, climate change resilience governance, social-ecological & economic resiliences, artificial intelligence in government, and development sustainability that promotes scholarly, theoretical, pragmatic, and sustainability research that makes a clear conceptual and methodological contribution to existing international literature.  Government & Resilience (G&R) is an international journal that examines the intersection of policy, information technology, government, development, environment, and social-economic resilience.

Government & Resilience (G&R) encourages submissions that focus on:

  • Artificial intelligence in government, how policies affect government information flows; the availability of government information; the use of technology to create and provide innovative government services; the impact of information technology on the relationship between the governed and those governing.
  • Co-participation and co-production between the governed and the governing and the influence of technology and policy on the relationship between the public and government.
  • Socially innovative actions and initiatives among communities and stakeholders, social capital, trust in institutions, social inclusion, and communication & collaboration (government, communities and private institutions).
  • Studies of minimizing welfare losses and mitigating risks to economic bases, involving structural adjustement, productive investments, and robust crisis planning to maintain function and ensure long-term stability (economic diversification, financial stability, trade flexibility, and digital adoption).
  • Studies of state and society, politics and market, social change and public organizations, and globalization and national governance/administration.
  • Studies of organizational theory, behavior, change, development, leadership, policy, and management.
  • Climate change governance for development sustainable.
  • Urban resilience as sustainable governance.
  • Land use plan and risk mitigation strategies in the urban communities and government institutions.
  • The development, implementation, and use of information systems and emerging technologies as platforms and delivery tools for government services and resources, as well as tools for decision and policy-making.
  • Governance Regime for Sustainability and Resilience to Climate Change.

Within this scope, Government & Resilience (G&R) welcomes three types of submissions:

  • Original research papers that combine rigour and relevance to advance the state-of-the-art and state-of-practice in the field.
  • Significant theoretical contributions that consolidate or advance the state-of-the-art in the field.
  • Significant practical contributions that convey novel and breakthrough ideas to advance the state-of-practice in the field.
